We can rave and shout about our North East wedding videography until the cows come home, just like every other video business. But what if our quality, reliability and professionalism were confirmed? Well we’ve been named as one of the best wedding videographers in Durham (and the UK, no less) by Hitched.co.uk!
As we are listed on Hitched, we were entered into the awards, along with more than 16,000 venues and other suppliers. The competition was fierce, but we’re so proud to say that we were chosen as one of three winners for Durham! This means we were recognised for “providing exceptional quality of work and customer service” in 2021, and rising to the occasion to celebrate love in such a turbulent time.
What does exceptional quality of work and customer service mean?
When it comes to wedding videography, we understand that our couples want the best experience and results to capture their day. We take the time to go over your preferred package or any bespoke ideas to make sure you’re comfortable. And before we come along to film your special day, we’ll have a meeting or Zoom call to go over any details, like timings, specific locations, and any fun extras you might have (like fancy cars, animals, a band etc.). We want to make sure we capture it all!
Our equipment is of the highest quality, from the cameras we use to the microphones that record your vows. No one wants to see pixelated, fuzzy imagery, especially of their wedding day! So we guarantee that everything is filmed and recorded with perfection in mind. And we try to do this as discreetly as possible. We like to blend in to the surroundings as much as possible so that we don’t intrude. We won’t be in the back of any selfies and we definitely won’t interrupt your first dance to get that perfect shot.
We’ve also recently introduced a drone to our gold and platinum packages (but it can be added to others at an extra cost) to provide a whole new view of your big day. Gorgeous panoramic shots of the venue, bird’s eye views of the wedding party, and charismatic cameo shots during your photo call are some of our favourite ways to use it.
And finally, we don’t use any third party editors. We like to keep everything in-house and we always have a vision for how our wedding videos will look. An external editor might not see it the same way, so we edit and colour grade everything ourselves. That means you can be sure that all work is done by us and us alone.
How we helped in 2021
As we’re all very aware, the overall feeling around weddings in 2020 and 2021 was uncertainty, and trust us, we felt it too. And so we adapted to try and help as many couples as possible. We ran a discount for couples who had to postpone their wedding and were still looking for a videographer. With so many suppliers having to cancel, we really wanted to do our bit to help couples save some pennies where they could.
We also launched our wedding live stream service. It was becoming too common that couples couldn’t have as many guests as they wanted, and we’re all about including all of your family and friends. This was incredibly popular – more than we ever could have imagined! Our live streaming helped bring family in The Philippines to a wedding at the South Causey Inn, and friends in Australia watching a wedding at Shotton Grange. It was a joy to see how much of a difference it made to the couples and it felt great to make sure everyone was involved.
It feels so fantastic to be recognised for these things that we did during the pandemic. And this is the first Hitched Wedding Awards, which makes it even more of a “pinch me” moment! It means that we get a funky little badge on our Hitched listing so everyone can spot us as a quality videography service (and the glory of the award, of course!).
